The Marine Corps League, President Ronald Reagan Detachment 597 will be hosting our annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball & MCL Det. 597 Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, Air Force One Pavilion, Simi Valley, CA from 5pm - Midnight on November 19, 2011.
Members of the Marine Corps League join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of voluntarily aiding and rendering assistance to all Marines, former Marines and to their widows and orphans. We do this by perpetuating the history of the United States Marine Corps through fitting acts to observe the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.
During the past 25 years, the President Ronald Reagan Detachment 597 has been providing support to our local Veterans and their families across the country. Throughout this time we have provided emotional, physical and financial support to our Veterans.
Detachment 597 needs the support of our business and community members through financial donations to the “Marine Richard Gross Memorial Fund.” Money donated to the Detachment’s Memorial Fund will help us support military families through numerous Detachment programs such as:
- Wounded Warrior Battalion
- Toys for Tots
- Swords to Plowshares
- U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps
- Veterans Administration
- Deployed Unit Adoption Program
- Dependant Scholarship Program
- Financial Assistance Program
- Operation Mend

Join us at this memorable event. Tickets are available to the public for $125.00 per person. This includes your choice of dinner selection of "Beef & Chicken", Salmon and Vegetarian. Also included are: a piece of the Marine Corps Birthday Cake, Wine for toasting the Corps, the "Founders Book of Heroes", Hors d' Oeuvre and a Commemorative Toast Glasses in addition to dancing and disc jockey. Dress: Coat and Tie or Tuxedo for the Gentlemen, Semi-formal & formal attire for the ladies. Tickets must be purchased no later than Midnight November 5, 2011.
