Commandant's Welcome Message

Welcome to Marine Corps League Detachment 597 of Ventura County, California. On behalf of our members, and Officers Semper Fidelis! Located in the eastern part of Ventura County, just northwest of Los Angeles, Detachment 597 has a long and illustrious history.

Founded in 1983, and officially Chartered in 1985, Det 597 has participated in countless Veteran’s events, and ceremonies while serving our community with Honor, Dedication and Loyalty. Working closely with our Marine Corps families, we honor the dead, celebrate the living, and provide physical, emotional and sometimes financial support to the Veterans of our Nation.

If you or a member of your family is a Marine, or has earned the Title of “US Marine”, then we hope you will stop by for a friendly chat. Welcome home Marine – our Detachment is here for you and your family. SEMPER FIDELIS.
