1st Annual Marine Corps League Golf Tournament

The President Ronald Reagan Detachment #597 takes great pleasure in hosting its first annual golf tournament.

The golf tournament is scheduled for June 14th, 2017.

The tournament format will be four-man scramble and best ball scramble at the Tierra Rejada Golf Course in Moorpark, Ca. This course is an 18-hole, 6,013-yard championship course located in Ventura County. The course is 2 miles away from the Grand Vista Hotel in Simi Valley.

To hold such a tournament there are certain requirements that the Tierra Rejada Golf Course must know prior to holding such an event like this. To hold a successful tournament there has to be a minimum of 80 players with the maximum being 144. The tournament will tee off at 1200 hours and should finish no later than 1730. Following the round of golf, the President Ronald Reagan Detachment #597 will host a barbecue for all players and guests. Golf prizes will be awarded at the end of dinner.

We invite all detachments who will be attending the convention to put together at least one 4-person team. There is no limit on how many teams from one detachment can participate.  Single golfers are also welcome and we will put you with other singles to form a team. Golf carts, range balls and a championship putting green will be available for this tournament. We will have on range contest such as closest to the pin, longest drive, most accurate drive, etc. A luxurious individual gift bag for all participants will be included at the beginning of the day.

Tentative price for this tournament and barbecue is $150.00 per person. Additional dinner tickets are $55.00 per person.
